Biography:

We have chosen to take a team approach to investment management. Jawaid Khan leads our team of investment professionals and is accompanied by Jim Kellett, Jinnan Li and Christine (Cricky) Brodhead.

With over 35 years with 3Macs and 40 years in the business, Jawaid brings the wisdom of years and the calming effect of experience. There isn’t too much in the investment world that he hasn’t seen. As well as being a veteran Portfolio Manager, he is also one of the Managing Directors of the firm and the Alternate Registered Options Principal.

Jim is a graduate of John Molson School of Business MBA program, as well as a Canadian Investment Manager through the Canadian Securities Institute. Jinnan is also a JMSB graduate, having recently completed the Investment MBA program as well as successfully passing her Level 3 CFA exams. Christine is a fully-licensed broker who has worked with Jawaid for 25 years.

We are all committed to our community. Jawaid is President of St. John Ambulance Foundation, an Executive Committee and Investment Committee member on the Grace Dart Hospital Foundation, and a member of the Whiff of Grape, Hillside Tennis Club and the Montreal Indoor Tennis Club. Jim, meanwhile, is an active alumni of JMSB, serving on the Alumni Board, chairing the golf tournament, as well as teaching part-time in the Finance department. He also sits on the Investment Committee of the Grace Dart Hospital Foundation board and manages sponsorship and donations for the Montreal Irish Rugby Football Club. Christine is actively involved on the Board of Batshaw Youth and Family Services Foundation.

Philosophy:

Our philosophy is fairly straightforward: we provide a wide variety of financial management services and assemble personalized investment portfolios for each of our clients, depending entirely on their personal needs and objectives and usually beginning with conservative blue chip dividend growth stocks covering most key sectors. The 3Macs model portfolios contain a selection of Canadian banks, energy and insurance companies, utilities and consumer staples, among others. It is an approach that has delivered stable returns in a wide range of economic climates.
